The world of WACKEN OPEN AIR

Every year in august, the small and quiet city of Wacken, Germany, prepares to host one of the world's biggest metal festivals, WACKEN OPEN AIR.

W.O.A. is a festival that brings together local and world renowned bands of metal. For three days the city of Wacken has become the center of attention, crowded of headbangers from all over the world arriving to experience the event. The main street in front of the event was totally taken over by metal fans.

In 2018 it was 29th edition, the festival counted on bands like Judas Priest, Helloween, Dimmu Borgir, Running Wild, Behemoth, Sepultura, Arch Enemy, Danzing, Samael, Dying Fetus among other great names of the metal.

For an idea, there are three days of too much metal, over one hundred bands in the cast of metal styles.

A festival full of characters and lots of fun. All very well organized and structured.

City hotels and cities neighbors completely crowded, those who prefer to camp the festival has a huge camping area and ample parking for trailers. A festival that has all its 100% sold tickets.

Good music, lots of tents with different types of souvenirs besides the large eating area with several types of dishes.

At this time of year it is usual to rain a lot, but do not think that discourages the headbangers, with legs stuck in the mud, the show has to continue.

The W.O.A is a city within a city, one day and you can not articulate it all over the area.

On the last day of the event, in the last band, we already miss the three unforgettable days experienced there.
